Learn how to draw Disney Frozen’s Elsa from Walt Disney Animation Studios

Walt Disney Animation Studios has released another ‘Draw with Disney Animation’ tutorial to help you pass the time during this unprecedented health emergency. They’re keeping in the “Frozen” category with a new video showing how to draw the Snow Queen Elsa herself.

Leading the tutorial is Elsa Animation Supervisor Wayne Unten, who supervised the animation on Elsa in both Frozen 2 and Frozen.

An early 2D test I animated to explore how Elsa could use her power to fight fire in the “Fire and Ice” sequence. . For casting Elsa’s magic, Jenn Lee asked to look to Martha Graham for inspiration. The idea behind this test wasn’t to make it look like a dance but to incorporate the power found in Martha Graham technique, such as spiral, having a grounded wide stance connecting her to the earth, and energy originating from the center and flowing outward. . #frozen2
