If you know me, you know I’m a big fan of Pixar’s animated feature WALL-E. The 2008 movie from director Andrew Stanton has at its heart a love story between a dedicated trash compactor and an advanced robot. Both share the same mission of saving the Earth and that bonds them together in a perfect robot romance.
As today is Valentines Day, it’s the perfect time to learn how-to draw the robotic duo of WALL-E and Eve. Disney artist Stephen Ketchum from Disney’s Art of Animation Resort has recorded these easy to follow instructions on how to draw this romantic couple yourself. Perhaps for a homemade card for someone you want to say thank you for being there to.
See. Isn’t that simple. Just ovals and squares. Who am I kidding. I need a lot of help to get as good as Stephen. But I won’t let that stop me from enjoying WALL-E.

Note: If you want to try your hand at some animation in person, Disney World has brought back the animation academy to the Festival of the Arts festival at EPCOT or you can join in a class in the lobby of the Art of Animation Resort. Check local schedules for times and dates.
