After a very long hiatus (beginning of December) we are back with the first of what look to be the final 5 episodes of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. As long as they successfully wrap up the story arc, I’ll be happy. I know… Read More »Once Upon a Time in Wonderland Preview: 1-9 – Nothing to Fear
Ladies and Gentlemen, get ready to start your toes a tapping for another season of ABC’s hit wonder “Dancing With The Stars.” This season will include a dynamic lineup of stars — two Olympic Gold Medalists, a game show host, a swimming legend and a teen pop star. All will get a professional partner to help them before their first live episode airs on Monday, March 17 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
In a first for “Dancing with the Stars,” the competition will feature a new game changing twist called “The Switch Up.” This season, America will be given the power to vote and change celebrities and professional dance pairings. This new rule will affect all couples as they will be required to switch partners at a point in the season. Never before have dance partnerships been split up during the course of competition.
As announced this morning on ABC’s “Good Morning America” by “Dancing with the Stars” hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews, the 12 celebrities with their professional partners heading to the dance floor this season (in alphabetical order) are:
Billy Dee Williams & Emma Slater Candace Cameron Bure & Mark Ballas Charlie White & Sharna Burgess Cody Simpson & Witney Carson Danica McKellar & Valentin Chmerkovskiy Diana Nyad & Henry Byalikov Drew Carey & Cheryl Burke James Maslow & Peta Murgatroyd Meryl Davis & Maksim Chmerkovskiy NeNe Leakes & Tony Dovolani Sean Avery & Karina Smirnoff Amy Purdy & Derek Hough
I’m leaning toward Danica McKeller as an early favorite. She was most of Generation X’s first TV heart-throb. But Charlie White or Meryl Davis could take it all home too. And you can never count out Derek Hough and his partner. But how will the big twist shake things up? I guess we’ll find out. Who will you be watching for this season?
Ok, Awards Season is over and the Olympics are over, so, hopefully that means we will be getting more than one new episode of AoS a month. On the one hand, the show has been trying to build momentum but keeps getting stopped abruptly for weeks at a time which is frustrating considering the uphill battle it’s engaged in for viewers. On the other hand, I am more excited about the back half of this season now than I was at the mid-season break, in large part, because of the past three episodes.
So, welcome back to Level 7…again.
This week, Coulson and his team enlist the help of Ward’s former S.O. in their attempt to save Skye. ABC has been teasing Bill Paxton’s role as John Garrett for a while now and we finally get to see his multi-episode story arc.
Marvel released a short clip from the episode that shows our rescue team in action.
In a blast of that lovely Disney synergy, ABC will air a new special called “Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe” on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. This special will bring together stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, celebrity fans, filmmakers, and pop culture icons to examine… Read More »ABC to Premiere ‘Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe’ Special on March 18, 2014
The Walt Disney Company did not take home the most Academy Awards last night, not by a long shot, but they should feel very good about the awards they did receive. Frozen took home Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. Both very well deserved.… Read More »Husband and Wife Songwriting Team Helps Disney take home Oscars
So last week in my preview, I gave up trying to guess when we’d see and hear more about Alexis, and low and behold, there she was. Frankly, I thought her sub-plot, all three scenes, were the best part of the episode last week. Of… Read More »Castle Preview 6-17: In the Belly of the Beast
It’s time for another go around on hearing your thoughts on various Disney topics. This time around, we are discussing ABC programming. For those who aren’t aware, ABC is having a tough time in the ratings department. Though they have two huge hits with Shonda Rhimes’ programs (Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy) and a claim on Friday nights with the success of Shark Tank…everything else is kind of a dud.
While some are semi-duds, like Nashville, which only has a 1.3 rating live, it boosts to over 3.0 with DVR, so I do expect it to receive a 3rd season, some are dead-on-arrival, like the mini series The Assets that was yanked off the air after 2 episodes.
Some people want to see a TGIF concept come back to Friday nights, but ABC knows they have a lock with their crazy hit Shark Tank. They make it a kind-of-sort-of TGIF with Last Man Standing and The Neighbors, but neither are doing incredibly well.
Last season, a Big Thunder Mountain show was passed on, while Lucky 7 came and went just as fast as the “Wildest Ride in the Wilderness”. Their Sunday night is quickly becoming a problem as well, with Revenge being moved to the dreaded 10pm time slot and Once Upon A Time‘s ratings slipping faster than Cinderella’s glass slipper.
There is no such thing as an easy case on a TV show. If there were, there would be no episode. So if Castle and Beckett knew they were on a TV show, they’d be very suspicious with the opening of Monday night’s all new… Read More »Castle Preview: Episode 6-16 – Room 147
