Today we complete our tour of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. We had our first glimpse at the Finding Nemo section when the resort first opened. Recently we returned for a walking tour of the three other sections, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid and today we’ll visit Cars.
The Cars section is by far my favorite at the resort. It feels the most like you’re in the movie with life-size sets right out of Radiator Springs and nearly life-size cars right out of the movie. That probably explains why I took a ton of photos. There are just so many details, it takes a lot of photos to capture them all:
We’re just a little more than two months away from Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron opening night. May 1st can’t get here fast enough if you ask me. In the meantime, we have a new set of two character posters and a new TV spot to analyze.
I notice a commonality between the two. Both have what looks like robots in the background. Part of Tony’s experiment?
Presumably there will be more character posters soon. Keep an eye on the actor’s Twitter accounts as both posters so far have been revealed by the actor

We recently toured The Lion King section of Art of Animation Resort. That was one of three sections with new buildings at the resort, but The Little Mermaid section is actually the finished versions of the old Legendary section of Pop Century that remained unfinished for nearly a decade.
But now it looks great. King Triton and Ursula loom large in giant sculptures and Ariel and her gang hold court throughout the resorts courtyard. It features exterior walk-ways and entrances like the hotels over in Pop century. There are over 600 cutout objects on the resort balconies.
In the gallery below, we continue our walking tour of the resort under the sea.
A dream is a wish your heart makes, but a movie needs a great sound track to make dreams come true. Disney’s Cinderella will have an official soundtrack album released by Walt Disney Records on March 10, 2015. The album features original music by Patrick Doyle (“Brave,” “Thor”) marking the eleventh time Doyle has teamed with director Kenneth Branagh. The score was recorded at Air Lyndhurst Studio in London, and was performed by the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by James Shearman and produced by Maggie Rodford.
Doyle has scored over 50 international feature films, including “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” “Gosford Park,” “Sense and Sensibility,” “Indochine,” “Carlito’s Way” and “A Little Princess.” His work has led to collaborations with some of the most acclaimed directors in the world, including Regis Wargnier, Brian De Palma, Alfonso Cuarón, Ang Lee, Chen Kaige, Mike Newell and Robert Altman.
In addition to the score, the soundtrack also includes end credit tracks by Lily James (“Cinderella”) and Helena Bonham Carter (“Fairy Godmother”), plus the end credit original theme song “Strong” (written by Patrick Doyle, Kenneth Branagh and Tommy Danvers) performed by Compound/Motown recording artist Sonna Rele and produced by TommyD (Kylie, Kanye West, Corinne Bailey Rae, FUN).
