Chris Fox

Chris grew up during the Disney renaissance of animation and took his first trip to Disney World when he was ten. Even though he has loved Disney his whole life, his obsession didn't start until he began planning a trip for his honeymoon. Right now, his primary job (at least the one that doesn't pay the bills) is to indoctrinate his daughter with his love of Disney while at the same time convincing his wife to move to Orlando so he can become a tour guide in the parks. He can also be found indulging in his nerdy side (both Disney related and otherwise) at nerdintherealworld.wordpress.com.

Figment and Dreamfinder to get their own Comic Book

figmentI have been very curious to see where the Disney Kingdoms comic line goes after their trip to the Museum of the Weird.

Marvel has announced, with one little spark of inspiration, that they will be taking a journey into imagination with their next five-issue story starring Figment (ok, bad puns over).

Figment #1 is debuting on June 4 with Jim Zub penning the story and Filipe Andrade as the artist.

“I was contacted out of the blue by editor Bill Rosemann at Marvel,” Zub recounts. “He’s been handling the Disney Kingdoms comics and, with so many fantasy projects under my belt and with magic and whimsy showing up in other stories I’ve written, he felt I’d be a good fit to pitch on FIGMENT. So far I’m doing my best to prove him right.”

He goes on to say:Read More »Figment and Dreamfinder to get their own Comic Book

First Promo for Marvel’s Assembling A Universe

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Preview – episode 15: Yes Men

marvel-shield-ladysif04

Last week, the team went on mission to find a way to save Skye’s life. Led by Coulson and Ward’s former S.O., John Garrett, they find the Guest House, where Coulson was during his questionable resurrection process.

They find a substance called GH-325 that was used on Coulson that allowed his cells to begin regenerating. As the team rushes back to give it to Skye, our favorite S.H.I.E.L.D. agent delves deeper into the Guest House and discovers a room labeled T.A.H.I.T.I. (because, apparently, someone really wanted their initials to spell “Tahiti”). In the room, Coulson finds a large container labeled “GH” that contains the top half of a human-like form where the GH formulas are being pumped from.

Speculation is all over the internet as to what that thing was, my favorite theory is that it is a Kree, an alien race that could open up a world of storytelling possibilities including a tie in to Guardians of the Galaxy.

Coulson tries to stop his team from injecting Skye with the mystery liquid but doesn’t make it in time. After a momentary seizure, Skye seems to have stabilized and is a little farther away from the edge of danger.Read More »Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Preview – episode 15: Yes Men

Star Wars: Galaxy of News

Netflix began streaming the entire Clone Wars series this weekend, including a final, unaired season called, “The Lost Missions.” I’m looking forward to this because I don’t have cable and couldn’t follow the show while it was on, so expect me to lose more than… Read More »Star Wars: Galaxy of News

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Returns to ABC – Preview Episode 14 T.A.H.I.T.I

ELIZABETH HENSTRIDGE, IAIN DE CAESTECKER, BRETT DALTON

Ok, Awards Season is over and the Olympics are over, so, hopefully that means we will be getting more than one new episode of AoS a month. On the one hand, the show has been trying to build momentum but keeps getting stopped abruptly for weeks at a time which is frustrating considering the uphill battle it’s engaged in for viewers. On the other hand, I am more excited about the back half of this season now than I was at the mid-season break, in large part, because of the past three episodes.

So, welcome back to Level 7…again.

This week, Coulson and his team enlist the help of Ward’s former S.O. in their attempt to save Skye. ABC has been teasing Bill Paxton’s role as John Garrett for a while now and we finally get to see his multi-episode story arc.

Marvel released a short clip from the episode that shows our rescue team in action.

As well as the first few minutes of the episode so we get an idea of Skye’s condition (spoiler alert: it’s not good).Read More »Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Returns to ABC – Preview Episode 14 T.A.H.I.T.I
