After a couple more serious episodes, it’s time for something light. (Frankly, I’m a little surprised we didn’t get a light episode in the middle since that is the usual pattern.) And light is what we are in for with this week’s Castle. The mystery… Read More »Castle Episode Preview: 6-13 – Limelight
The very popular Switched at Birth has returned to ABC Family for a new season. Disney’s new policy of hiding its cable shows behind a paywall unless you are on certain cable providers makes it difficult to see, so who knows if the popularity will… Read More »Switched at Birth Returns to ABC Family
Previously on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC:
We were reunited with the team just a few days after Coulson’s capture as they were in pursuit of a guy named Vanchat, who they hoped could help find their leader. After returning to the bus with Vanchat, Agent Hand promptly kicked Skye off and Skye promptly followed her own leads to search for Coulson.
I really liked Skye’s story in this episode. She proved her intelligence and her use to the team. And I definitely got a good chuckle from her impersonation of May. She brought some much needed levity to an otherwise dark episode.
Meanwhile, the mystery surrounding Coulson’s death is unraveling. What I really wanted to know was whether or not this Coulson is the same one that we’d gotten to know in the movies. The episode didn’t answer all of the questions about his resurrection, but it did answer that one.
This isn’t a clone and this isn’t a Life Model Decoy. This is Agent Phil Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D. who underwent multiple procedures that were both very risky and very shady.
My next question is the same as Agent Hand’s — Why is Coulson worth all the trouble to bring him back to life? Does Fury just like him that much or is there something deeper?
The last revelation of the episode is that Mike has survived the explosion but our unknown antagonist has replaced one of his eyes with the eye camera/bomb that we’ve seen already.
That’s a lot to build on and I look forward to seeing what happens.
It really does amaze me sometimes how the writers on Castle come up with some of their plots. Take this week’s episode. We’re going to start with the murder of a video store clerk. Yes, it seems a little simple for an episode of Castle,… Read More »Castle Preview: 6-12 – Deep Cover
When we left the team before the hiatus Coulson had been captured and we don’t know what happened to Mike in the explosion. The official synopsis is: “’The Magical Place’ will have Coulson uncovering some very important details surrounding the mystery of his death. Centipede… Read More »Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode 11 preview – The Magical Place
Every year, Castle returns on the first Monday of January, and every year it seems so early to me. But we’re at that Monday, which means we’re back with a new mystery to solve Monday night. The mystery involves a body found in a burned… Read More »Castle 6-11 Preview: Under Fire
Sunday night we get the winter finale of Once Upon a Time, and they have been promising for a long time now that this one will wrap up the Neverland storyline. How they will do that in one hour, I have no idea. But this… Read More »Episode Preview: Once Upon a Time Winter Finale – Going Home
