The Walt Disney Animation Studios feature film Frozen has been cleaning up at the box office, the record store, and soon could be dusting Broadway with its magical spell. Marshal already speculated on this possibility about a week ago. Disney CEO Bob Iger recently confirmed… Read More »Disney’s Frozen Heading To Broadway?
It’s time to take a look at the progress made on the next major expansion of Fantasyland – The Tangled Toilets. Since we last checked in, they’ve added many more details from the films, some trees, benches, and mist fans for that cooling effect while you wait. In fact it’s beginning to look like the Fantasyland equivalent of a highway rest area.
Come below the jump as we look over the wall at a much needed improvement to the guest flow and restroom availability in this corner of the Magic Kingdom.
It might take some amazing self-control but you’ll still have to wait a bit for the next big attraction to hit the Magic Kingdom. Yes the Rapunzel restrooms are nearing completion. We have new photos showing how much work has been done in the last few weeks. There are lanterns, new pathways, and, of course, the tower from the movie Tangled.
We had a great time this past Friday tweeting about Tangled. Lots of laughs and re-tweets happened over the course of the 100 minute movie. It was tough to make a decision, but this month’s Master Tweeter is… I feel like she should brush her… Read More »Our February Master Tweeter is…
Tangled! Now, this Friday, February 8th at 9pm Eastern, we will all push play and watch Tangled. While watching we will tweet using the hashtag #TangledLive. Speaking on behalf of all of January’s live tweeters, we had a great time! We made jokes, we made observations, we made some more jokes, and we re-tweeted the heck out of each other. I couldn’t wait until this month, and there are some changes to the format, so let us get started!

Disneyland has announced that the current Princess Fantasy Faire meet and greet, located in the Fantasyland theater location, will be closing August 12th. They also let it be known that the plan is to prep the theater to once again host a stage show and they’re promising a new concept in entertainment.
With papers filed for some construction on Disney’s Hollywood Studios Theater of the Stars, home to Beauty & The Beast stage show, many are wondering if Disney will be saving costs by building sets and costumes for two shows at the same time. Most speculation is centered on will it be for a past movie (many assume Tangled is the likely candidate) or another revue show (like Animazement). The theme park stage version of Beauty and the Beast didn’t debut until a year after the movie came out, so they’re not too far off that timeline with Tangled. But revue shows have a little bit for everyone… it’s a toss up.
As you know, Fantasyland will actually be expanding soon when the Fantasy Faire area opens up in the old Carnation Gardens location. The Princess Meet and Greets will move to this location, along with some entertainment offerings during the day and the return of swing dancing at night.
Walt Disney Imagineering has shared this photos of the models for Fantasy Faire. The large tent that will cover the dance floor reminds me quite a bit of the color scheme for the Prince Charming Carousel at the Magic Kingdom.
