“Hunted and running out of solutions, Coulson puts his team right in the line of fire in the hopes of saving them all. But with General Talbot, Hydra and Creel all on the attack, can they possibly survive? Meanwhile, a mysterious Doctor (Kyle MacLachlan) harbors… Read More »Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S2-E2 Preview: Heavy Is The Head
Disney, ABC, and Marvel have released a cast photo for Agents of SHIELD Season 2.
From left to right we have: Triplett (B.J. Britt); Skye (Chloe Bennet); Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); Agent May (Ming-Na Wen); Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg); Lance Hunter (Nick Blood); Alphonso Mackenzie (Henry Simmons); Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) and finally Grant Ward (Brett Dalton).
I imagine the posing was done very deliberately. So what can we read into this photo? What worries me the most is that Fitz and Simmons aren’t standing together. Also, Skye is looking very Femme Fatale. I wonder what turns her character will take this season.
We also get a look at Agent Hayley Atwell in her flashback segment from Episode 1. Executive producer Jed Whedon tells us that Carter will appear in the episode because “Coulson is a big student of history and wants to return to those old ideals of Agent Carter’s time.” Whedon continues, “He’s, like, ‘Let’s be the S.H.I.E.L.D. we were meant to be!’ He wants to do the job right this time.”

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is almost ready to return for another round of adventure with Director Coulson and his team. The we know know the season premiere will be titled “Shadows” and we have the official synopsis as well.
It looks like there will be plenty of new faces along with our returning favorites. Along with previously announced guest stars like Adrian Pasdar and Lucy Lawless, we also get introduced to Nick Blood who will be playing Lance Hunter, a mercenary and potentially a new member of the team.
If you read the credits closely you’ll see that Hayley Atwell will be guest starring as Peggy Carter. She will have her own show later as Agent Carter set in the post-Captain America era of S.H.I.E.L.D.. So keep an eye out for her appearance.
Believe it or not, we’re less than a month away from the debut of Season 2 of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. When we last left the gang Agent Coulson had assembled, they were dealing with the fallout of Hydra’s infiltration of SHIELD and the betrayal… Read More »Marvels’ Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It has been an interesting road we’ve gone down this season, full of twists, turns, stops, starts and lots of cameos.
Last week, we got to look back at Ward’s beginnings with SHIELD (and Hydra) as well as where the Deathlok project started. (I would love to hear your theories about what happened to Buddy. Between my friends and I, we have three different ideas).
Using old spy gear from the Howling Commandos was probably my favorite part of the episode and I’m glad that they’re using it again this week.
In this week’s season finale more secrets will be revealed as Coulson and his team (what’s left of it) go on the offensive to put an end to Garrett and Ward’s plans (hopefully rescuing Fitz-Simmons in the process).
