Top 10 Options for Lovebirds on Valentine’s Day at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World Resort Offers Romance for Lovebirds on ValentineÕs Day and Every Day

For Disney fans, there’s nothing more romantic than a trip for two to the most magical place on earth, Walt Disney World. But what are some of the specific activities you can do together that will make your Valentine’s Day, or any day, that much more magical.

With over 40-square miles you have a lot of options, but we’ve tried to narrow it down to the ten best.

The Couple that ‘Spas’ Together… – What’s more enjoyable than a luxurious spa treatment? Imagine sharing it with that special someone. The new Senses – A Disney Spa at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort or Senses – A Disney Spa at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, both feature a “couples room” where guests can enjoy specialized spa treatments – such as massages and facials – with the one they love.

Make like Aladdin and Jasmine – Fly through the sky with your special someone on an adventurous tandem parasail over Bay Lake. Those looking to soar to new heights can spend 10 minutes soaring high above Disney and get a bird’s-eye view of Magic Kingdom and its neighboring resorts. Contact Sammy Duvall’s Watersports Centre at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for reservations for a tandem flight.

Sunset in the Sky – A very different kind of flight is aboard a tethered balloon rising gently into the Florida sky. Located on the waterfront at Downtown Disney, Characters in Flight gives romantics a chance to take their love to new heights. Operating daily, the giant balloon provides breathtaking sights from 400 ft. up in the air with an unparalleled, 360-degree view of the Vacation Kingdom and beyond. Flights take place between 8:30 a.m. and midnight (weather permitting) and last approximately 8-10 minutes. Romantics who time their flight to sunset or fireworks bursting above the parks are in for a special treat. Tickets can be purchased at Downtown Disney West Side; tickets are $12.00 per child and $18.00 per adult.Read More »Top 10 Options for Lovebirds on Valentine’s Day at Walt Disney World

Disneyland it’s where the magic began and where all eyes of Disney fandom will be focused for the coming year. On May 22nd, the park will launch its 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration and tonight we learned exactly what the event will entail.

There will be three new shows to celebrate the magic of Disneyland:

World of Color will add a new show “Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney.” The show will illuminate the night in a moving celebration of Walt and his dream of Disneyland, showing anything is possible if we just keep believing in our dreams.

Disney Paint The Night will be a new nighttime parade similar to the Electrical parade.

Artwork for both Sleeping Beauty Castle and Carthay Circle Theatre reveals how they will both be made to gleam with diamond themed decorations including a diamond medallion featuring the Disneyland ‘D’. Of course, there will be plenty of Diamond Celebration merchandise and specialty food items to for guests to collect and enjoy.

“Sixty years ago, Walt Disney welcomed the first guests to Disneyland. Nearly 3 billion guest visits later, it’s amazing to contemplate all that Disney Parks and Resorts represents to so many people around the world,” said Tom Staggs, Chairman, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. “We’ve conceived the Disneyland Diamond Anniversary as a celebration of this special place that started it all. Disneyland was envisioned as a place that encourages all of us to be ‘forever young,’ in part by being forever young itself … so we’re celebrating not just the last 60 years, but all that is yet to come.”

So far not end date has been announced, Disneyland expects it to be a long promotion.

Marvel’s Fantastic Four reboot teaser trailer released

Fantastic-Four-teaser

Disney may have bought Marvel studios, but unfortunately it was too late to land the rights to some of Marvel’s biggest properties. Those comics were licensed to other studios, who had previous deals with Marvel. There’s hope that some of these will eventually come back to Disney, but in general, the deals favor the other studios, as long as they continue to make movies using the comic book super heroes.

That explains why 20th Century Fox is rebooting the Fantastic Four series with a new cast and new backstory. Fox also owns the rights to the X-Men in movies. Marvel co-producers, but Fox will distribute.

There was a lot of buzz about the new the teaser trailer which you can watch here. .

It’s definitely darker than the previous two. They’re obviously trying to capture that same feel Christopher Nolan brought to the Batman Begins series. Read More »Marvel’s Fantastic Four reboot teaser trailer released
