DuckTales Opening Recreated With Actual Ducks, Amazing

Anyone born after 1990 may not get this. But this video with actual ducks recreating the opening from Disney Saturday Morning’s DuckTales is fantastic!

I’m surprised no one thought to do this before…

DuckTales debuted in 1987 and featured Scrooge McDuck, who doesn’t get enough love in the theme parks if you ask me, with his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie and sometimes Donald as well (but really only in a few episodes). Plus a host of other guest characters. They have adventures, fight bad guys, and always comeback to Duckburg. Of course, the series relied heavily on the comic book series created by Carl Barks. The final episode aired in 1990, much to the sadness of Disney fans of all ages.

Dancing with the Stars Announces New Cast and Pairings with Professional Dancers

While other celebrity reality TV shows have come and gone, ABC’s Dancing With The Stars continues to go strong into it’s 19th season. For 2014 they’ve lined up a talented cast professionals that will be paired with a list of celebrity dancers that includes a fashion icon, a YouTube sensation, a NASCAR legend, and a movie star, to name a few. The stars will grace the ballroom floor for the first time on live national television with their professional partners during the two-hour season premiere of “Dancing with the Stars,” which airs Monday, September 15 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. One couple will be eliminated on the “Dancing with the Stars” results show the following day, on Tuesday, September 16 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET).

The thirteen professional dancers teaching the celebrity cast how to bring heat to the dance floor are Mark Ballas, Cheryl Burke, Sharna Burgess, Witney Carson, Artem Chigvintsev, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Tony Dovolani, Allison Holker, Derek Hough, Keo Motsepe, Peta Murgatroyd, Emma Slater and Karina Smirnoff. Two-time Mirrorball champion and movie star Julianne Hough joins Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba at the judges’ desk.

ABC Family announces 13 nights of Halloween returns for 2014

For the 16th annual season, ABC Family will host “13 nights of Halloween” a special selection of thrills and chills that will help you celebrate as you countdown to Halloween. The popular programming block starts Sunday October 19th and concludes on Friday, October 31st.

The fright fest features brand-new Halloween-themed episodes of “Melissa & Joey” and “Baby Daddy,” an all-new “Pretty Little Liars” fan appreciation special, plus the hilariously scary prank specials “Freak Out.” The stunt will also include the network television premieres of “Dark Shadows” and “ParaNorman,” and a ghoulish mix of Halloween-themed programming.

Other shows include old favorites like: The Nightmare Before Christmas, Addams Family, The Haunted Mansion, and Hocus Pocus.

ABC to air behind the scenes look at the making of Disney’s Frozen

Fans just can’t get enough of Disney’s Frozen. The tale of unusual friendships and the power of sisterly love will soon get it’s own “Making Of” special to air on the ABC Network. “The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic” is an all-new, unprecedented collaboration with Lincoln Square Productions and Walt Disney Animation Studios. The special ventures behind-the-scenes for an exclusive look at the origins and evolution of the Academy Award- winning film “Frozen,” now the biggest animated feature of all time.

“The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic” will air Tuesday, September 2 (8:00 -9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Viewers will get a rare look inside Walt Disney Animation Studios and unprecedented access to the creative team that brought “Frozen” to life. Throughout the one-hour special, the audience will hear from “Frozen” stars Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel, the directors, songwriters, producer and artists and chief creative officer John Lasseter – the team who dreamed of making a cherished Hans Christian Andersen story into a big screen animated musical.

Viewers will take a journey to the beautiful Norwegian villages and landscapes that inspired the look of Arendelle – the fictional kingdom – and see images and footage from the research trips to Norway, Quebec and points beyond that helped create the film’s unforgettable look and feel.

This special will also include some exciting announcements about the next chapter of “Frozen” and a never-before-seen preview of “Frozen” characters Anna, Elsa and Kristoff on an upcoming episode of ABC’s smash-hit “Once Upon a Time.”
