Jack Sparrow’s: I’ve Got A Jar of Dirt – Remix Music Video

I must be old, but apparently all the hip kids are doing video mashups these days. Here’s a great one that mixes the "I’ve Got A Jar Of Dirt" song and Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Curse. Check out those funky moves from Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. P3: At World’s End opens… Read More »Jack Sparrow’s: I’ve Got A Jar of Dirt – Remix Music Video

Tigger won’t face charges for hitting boy

News just hit the Orlando Sentinel that Tigger, or rather the Disney Worker playing the character Tigger, won’t face charges in the video-taped incident where it appeared that Tigger hit a 14-year old boy. No word from Disney is any personnel issues remain, but I’ll post if I hear anything. The District Attorney did the… Read More »Tigger won’t face charges for hitting boy

Peter Ellenshaw (1913-2007) more tributes

Yesterday the Walt Disney Company released a statement on the death of Disney Legend Peter Ellenshaw. I’ve included it in full below the cut. The LA Times, Variety, the Hollywood Reporter, and the AP have printed obituaries.

There have also been a number of nice tributes for Ellenshaw across the net. Jim Hill has a nice story about the kind of man Ellenshaw was. Michael Sporn, CartoonBrew, RocketHound, and Brian Sibley have also written on Ellenshaw’s life and talent.

ABC News now #1 rated nightly news

Big props to Charles Gibson and the crew at ABC World News Tonight for taking over #1 in the Neilsen ratings this week. Gibson has always seemed like the natural successor to Peter Jennings to me. I think ABC News can capitalize on their extensive online presence. I’ve subscribed to a few of their Podcasts… Read More »ABC News now #1 rated nightly news

Nicholas Cage to star in Live Action “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”… that’s not a typo.

I’m totally with Cartoonbrew on this one. When I first heard that Disney had announced that they’re producing “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” as a live-action feature starring Nicholas Cage as the Sorcerer, I thought I had perhaps slept through to April 1st. But no, The Hollywood Reporter has the details. [The Screenplay] takes its inspiration from… Read More »Nicholas Cage to star in Live Action “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”… that’s not a typo.

Heroes and LOST crossover? Plus Hayden Panettierre

DarkUFO has noticed a crossover between the universes of NBC’s hit show Heroes and ABC’s hit show LOST. No, it’s not Oceanic Airlines (which is as to airlines as 555 is to telephone numbers in film/tv). Click through for the answer and possible spoiler content. The producers of both shows have been quoted saying how… Read More »Heroes and LOST crossover? Plus Hayden Panettierre

ABC Attacks the Web… gets LOST

MarketingVox looks at what was revealed in a recent presentation to investors by ABC. The future holds expanded video, user-generated content, and even a web only version of America’s Funniest Home Videos.

Part of this plan was rolled out today in the form of a Valentine’s Day gift to fans of the hit show LOST. ABC has made available video with "backstories" for some of the main characters. These are essentially all the bits we’ve seen already, just edited into a chronological order. You can view them at the ABC website or I’ve embedded the videos below the cut.

Don’t forget there is a brand spankin’ new episode of LOST tonight.
