Marvel Drops First ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ Teaser Trailer at CCXP2022

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Months after wowing San Diego Comic-Con attendees this July with an early screening of footage for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” Marvel has finally released an official teaser trailer at Brazil Comic Con (CCXP2022).

The Film

Not much is known about this final outing in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” trilogy, but director/writer James Gunn has assembled the gang together for one last adventure.

The film stars Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel as Groot, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Sylvester Stallone as Ravager Stakar Ogord, and Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha.

They’re joined by “GOTG” newcomers Chukwudi Iwuji as main villain The High Evolutionary, Maria Bakalova as Cosmo the Spacedog (seen in the “Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special“), and Will Poulter as super-being Adam Warlock.

Gunn, who is leaving Marvel to become co-CEO of DC’s film, TV and animation departments, shared the trailer and poster to his Twitter saying “On May 5 we fulfill the promise; the completion of the trilogy; the end of an era. The last ride. We are Groot.”

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3″ will hit theaters on May 5, 2023.

The Trailer

Our first look at “Vol. 3” begins with Star-Lord (Pratt) saying “We were gone for quite a while. But no matter what happens next, the galaxy still needs its guardians.”

Set to the song “In the Meantime” by Spacehog, we see the heroes banding together, we see flashbacks to a young Rocket, and we see a really badass Groot fighting back to back with Star-Lord.

It looks like this film might break our hearts a little.
