Brazil Comic Con 2022 (CCXP2022) is in full swing, and Lucasfilm just released a ton of “Indiana Jones 5” news, including a first look trailer.
No longer is the film called “Indiana Jones 5.” The official title for the fifth installment of the series is: “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.”
James Mangold (“Logan”) is directing the film, which stars Harrison Ford as the titular character once again.
Joining him in the movie are Phoebe Waller-Bridge (“Fleabag”), Antonio Banderas (“Puss in Boots”), John Rhys-Davies (“Lord of the Rings”), Shaunette Renee Wilson (“Black Panther”), Thomas Kretschmann (“Das Boot”), Toby Jones (“Captain America: The First Avenger”), Boyd Holbrook (“Logan”), Oliver Richters (“Black Widow”), Ethann Isidore (“Mortel”) and Mads Mikkelsen (“Doctor Strange”).
It was revealed at D23 Expo 2023 that the film would open in theaters June 30, 2023.
Not much is known about the plot of the film, but the first look teaser trailer shows plenty of action sequences, the return of an old friend, and even a de-aged Harrison Ford in some flashbacks (photos of this below).
