After a very long hiatus (beginning of December) we are back with the first of what look to be the final 5 episodes of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. As long as they successfully wrap up the story arc, I’ll be happy. I know… Read More »Once Upon a Time in Wonderland Preview: 1-9 – Nothing to Fear
You’ve just performed the hit song from Disney animation’s biggest ever hit film on stage at the Oscars, watching it win said Oscar minutes later, how are you going to top that? For Adele Dazeem Idina Menzel, it was a trip to the Tonight Show with new host Jimmy Fallon and the show’s band “The Roots” for a cover (can you cover your own song?) of “Let it Go” using only toys and classroom instruments.
It was just uploaded last night and already the video has 2.3 million views. It’s sure to become a classic, but if you haven’t seen it yet, we can help:
I like that the toy alphabet blocks Jimmy grabbed are L-I-G for Let it Go. Full instrument list below the jump:
Alone at Disneyland explores what it’s like to be at Disneyland on a rainy day and the magic that occurs when you’re the last guest in the park. It is one of 28 stories and essays in my new book “Dispatch from Disneyland.” It’s available… Read More »Alone in the Park, What Would You Do? – Dispatch From Disneyland
Star Wars Weekends is approaching at light speed. If you want to make a big impression without a full on costume, you might try some of these nifty Star Wars themed hoodies from Thinkgeek.
This Tauntaun hooded sweatshirt is new to the Star Wars collection. I love the interior pattern, sure to be enough guts to keep you warm on chilly evenings.
Two other favorites are the Chewbacca Wookiee and Boba Fett hoodies.
Ladies and Gentlemen, get ready to start your toes a tapping for another season of ABC’s hit wonder “Dancing With The Stars.” This season will include a dynamic lineup of stars — two Olympic Gold Medalists, a game show host, a swimming legend and a teen pop star. All will get a professional partner to help them before their first live episode airs on Monday, March 17 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
In a first for “Dancing with the Stars,” the competition will feature a new game changing twist called “The Switch Up.” This season, America will be given the power to vote and change celebrities and professional dance pairings. This new rule will affect all couples as they will be required to switch partners at a point in the season. Never before have dance partnerships been split up during the course of competition.
As announced this morning on ABC’s “Good Morning America” by “Dancing with the Stars” hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews, the 12 celebrities with their professional partners heading to the dance floor this season (in alphabetical order) are:
Billy Dee Williams & Emma Slater Candace Cameron Bure & Mark Ballas Charlie White & Sharna Burgess Cody Simpson & Witney Carson Danica McKellar & Valentin Chmerkovskiy Diana Nyad & Henry Byalikov Drew Carey & Cheryl Burke James Maslow & Peta Murgatroyd Meryl Davis & Maksim Chmerkovskiy NeNe Leakes & Tony Dovolani Sean Avery & Karina Smirnoff Amy Purdy & Derek Hough
I’m leaning toward Danica McKeller as an early favorite. She was most of Generation X’s first TV heart-throb. But Charlie White or Meryl Davis could take it all home too. And you can never count out Derek Hough and his partner. But how will the big twist shake things up? I guess we’ll find out. Who will you be watching for this season?
Disney Lies is a fan site I’ve kept my eye on over the years because of its fun concept. It’s almost all 100% malarkey. Figuring out what, if any, of it is true, is part of the fun. Dominick, who runs the site, has started… Read More »Postcards from the Disney Edge
Ok, Awards Season is over and the Olympics are over, so, hopefully that means we will be getting more than one new episode of AoS a month. On the one hand, the show has been trying to build momentum but keeps getting stopped abruptly for weeks at a time which is frustrating considering the uphill battle it’s engaged in for viewers. On the other hand, I am more excited about the back half of this season now than I was at the mid-season break, in large part, because of the past three episodes.
So, welcome back to Level 7…again.
This week, Coulson and his team enlist the help of Ward’s former S.O. in their attempt to save Skye. ABC has been teasing Bill Paxton’s role as John Garrett for a while now and we finally get to see his multi-episode story arc.
Marvel released a short clip from the episode that shows our rescue team in action.
