Part of the fun of having representations of countries from the around the world in Orlando’s backyard, is that you get to experience some of their national holidays. Few are more festive, or more tasty, than Octoberfest. The Munich Oktoberfest, a 16-day traditional German festival, officially kicks off for 2012 on September 22, but in the Germany Pavilion at EPCOT, guests can enjoy the holiday every day of the year. To help you celebrate, the Oktoberfest Musikanten (German for “Oktoberfest Musicians”) play polkas and waltzes inside the Epcot Germany Pavilion while lunch and dinner guests at the Biergarten Restaurant enjoy bratwurst, sauerkraut, pork schnitzel and spaetzle. Don’t skip the spaetzle!
Biergarten is especially fun to visit as a group. If you’ve been, would you recommend it to friends visiting Walt Disney World?
