Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Construction Update – August 2013 – New Fantasyland

We check in again on the progress Disney is making on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. It’s schedule to open in 2014, the last of the New Fantasyland expansion area to be finished. Hard to see much change since we last updated the project, bit it’s there. There’s more finished rock-work and more of the yellow rock contour installed. On the exterior portion they’ve really started to do some detail work in the tight twisty portion of the track.

Still, we’re a long way from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs moving in. All we know so far is sometime in 2014. I wish they’d hurry up.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Construction Update – July 2013

Here’s an updated look at the construction on New Fantasyland’s Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster at the Magic Kingdom. There is still a long way to go on one side, but when you turn around the back to where Prince Eric’s Village will be, it looks nearly finished. Current plans call for it to be open sometime in 2014, but it’s hard to tell if they’re on pace or not.

As before we have both video and photos of the area

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Construction Update – New Fantasyland

Here’s the latest update from the last attraction scheduled to open in New Fantasyland – the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Construction is definitely moving along. More of back side, Prince Eric’s Village across from The Little Mermaid, is finished and detail rock work starting to wrap completely around the mountain. They’ve added the last piece of track and have begun working on some of the details around the track. That said there’s still a long way to go for a 2014 opening.

Don’t have time for a video? I’ve included some photos below the jump:

From near the Winnie the Pooh ride, the mountain is decidedly unfinished.

Construction on the final attraction that is a part of New Fantasyland is coming along nicely, if a bit slow. The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is currently schedule to open some time in 2014. If you look at the ‘back half’ (the side facing the Little Mermaid attraction) you would be forgiven to thinking it was almost done. But a look at it from the Winnie the Pooh side and you’ll see they have a very long way to go.

Magic Kingdom Update – Mine Train, Pirates Adventure, and More

It’s been a while since we’ve had a chance to take a long stroll around the Magic Kingdom and snap some photos. Most of New Fantasyland may already be open, but there is a lot of work going on at the Mine Train and elsewhere in the park. There still have been no official opening dates for the Princess Fairytale Hall or the Mine Train. We’re hearing that the princess meet and greet has been pushed back. I hope that means they’re adding some upgrades.

Starting outside you can see that horizontal construction has begun on the new bus loop for the Magic Kingdom.

Larger buses will eventually be entering and exiting here. More buses should translate to easier connections to other Disney parks and the new Disney Springs

New Seven Dwarfs Murals in New Fantasyland

All that remains to open in New Fantasyland is the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and that won’t happen until 2014 sometime. But the rest of the land is officially opening this week. The walls surrounding the roller coaster construction recently received a small upgrade to… Read More »New Seven Dwarfs Murals in New Fantasyland
