Disneyland T-Shirt Round Up

  • by

I mentioned recently that there are some new t-shirts at Disneyland and I thought you would like to see them. I’m thoughtful like that.

These shirts were found in the Gag Factory shop in Toontown, Disneyland, USA, but knowing Disney I’m sure they are available throughout the parks.

Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald are the only characters that I have seen so far (pictured below). Does anyone know if there are more and/or more to come?Read More »Disneyland T-Shirt Round Up

New Image from Brave

Pixar’s Brave looks better with every little bit of information that’s released. Today it’s a new still from the movie featuring Merida, a lurking bear, and a mysterious blue light.

If you remember a few days ago we looked at the international marketing for Pixar’s Brave. Turns out a new Japanese poster has been released. It contains what may be our first glimpse of the eccentric Witch from the film. Since that’s a spoiler, I’ve placed it and the official movie synopsis below the jump:

Marvel Has More Clips from The Avengers

The Avengers - Marvel

Two fun new clips from Marvel’s The Avengers were recently released. Just last night is this excellent encounter between Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) who is imprisoned at S.H.E.I.L.D. HQ.

Nick Fury is one cool cat.

Meanwhile below the cut is a clip from a battle royal between Tony Stark as Iron Man and Thor:

Wreck-It Ralph Poster Released

After a brief flurry of concept art in February, Disney Animation has been awfully quiet about Wreck-It Ralph. But they’re out today with a poster for the movie and rumor is the trailer will debut with The Avengers. I suspect they’re aiming at a crowd… Read More »Wreck-It Ralph Poster Released

Disney Searches for Scot to Play Merida in Parks

As you might expect Disney is searching overseas for a few red-haired Scottish lasses to play Princess Merida from the upcoming Pixar animated film Brave. According to a story in the Daily Record, the ideal candidate would be someone who is bilingual (Gaelic and English),… Read More »Disney Searches for Scot to Play Merida in Parks

Brave International Posters and Trailer

I’m always fascinated to see how Disney chooses to market its films to non-US audiences. Frequently it’s completely different material than what we see. With Pixar’s Brave we’re seeing a few really interesting takes.

Some cultures it might be hard to sell a movie with a female protagonist, so they’ve gone a little macho. Here’s a recently released poster for Italy:

Notice the distance between Merida and her family. Here is another version which makes the movie look like it’s about a war.

Disney World Merchandise Roundup

Yesterday we shared a new kitchenware and dish set for sale at Walt Disney World, but that isn’t the only bit of new merchandise to show up at the parks. Here are a few more things that caught my eye as I wandered around the parks.

Of late, Disney has been making easy to find the new stuff by grouping it together with other ‘New Arrivals.’

I’m seeing a lot more clothing where the Mickey Mouse element is woven into the pattern. Let’s you were your Mickey clothing without having to have a cartoon on your shirt. I like that idea.
