So, I recently started an internship with the Jim Henson Company, which has had a very close relationship with Disney ever since they sold the Muppets in 2004. (Just so you know, the internship is awesome!!) Well, this week at work I got to meet Courtney Watkins, the bubbly, charismatic host of The Possibility Shop. For those of you who are not familiar with the darling web series, which airs on the Disney Living website, it is essentially an arts and crafts show that provides parents and children with imaginative projects they can do together. For example, in one of my favorite episodes (“Slumber Party Camp-in Kit”), Courtney teaches her young guests how to recreate a safe and fun camping experience right in your own living room. As a mother herself, Courtney’s primary goal is to promote family fun and creativity, which I think she does in a very unique way.

TRON: Legacy doesn’t hit theaters until December 17th, but fans of the TRON films can get their fill of merchandise from the film beginning November 19th at a special Pop-up Shop in Colver City, CA. The store will have a six-week run and feature special merchandise available only at this location as well as other unique roll outs. Additionally there will be a cafe and art exhibit.

Disney Consumer Products just launched its own Youtube channel — Disney Living. But don’t look for Mickey Mouse Cartoons or Movie Trailers, instead the new channel will highlight whats coming from the designers in Burbank.

Disney Living will give Disney fans an inside scoop on the coolest and newest Disney products for all ages. I like the fact that it will feature original programming that will takes viewers behind the scenes, offers tips and sneak peeks on new fashions, home décor, toys, food and much more. Feels a lot like the spirit of the original Disney Channel.

Up first is a video fashion show featuring back to school styles. Highlighted are designs inspired by the Jonas Brothers and Wizards of Waverly Place.
