Yesterday we saw the first trailer for Monsters University, the next film from Pixar following Brave. Monsters University is a prequel to Monsters Inc and will take Mike & Sulley back to their college years. Disney has released some concept art and images from that trailer which show the rich world making detail that was a large part of the success of Monsters Inc 11 years ago.
I’ve uploaded them in sizes suitable for most desktop screens if you click on the image. The other thing this makes me think of, is that Disney merchandising could already be selling a whole line of Monsters University merchandise and put us fans to work as walking ads for the film. I’d buy a Monsters U Reyn Spooner shirt right now and happily wear a Monsters Univ sweatshirt all winter long. Pennants, hats, jerseys, the list is endless. Just walk into your nearest university bookstore and recreate that.
Below the jump are more images from the trailer. I love looking at all the great detail in the world of Monstropolis.
