On previous episodes of the Revolution, Jamie was given a hard time from many corners, and ran up against quite a few roadblocks, but he was approved for a couple more weeks of cooking at the elementary school.
This week’s episode opens with the always-negative DJ Rod taking a call from a supportive Huntington resident, while Jamie drives along listening. Rod chortles that they’ll all be civil to Jamie while he’s here, but once he leaves, they’ll go back to eating “the side of a cow” or whatever else they want to eat. Rod, FYI: it’s not the side of a cow that’s making your town fat.

Good morning after, losties! Last night’s episode was so full! Full of characters, full of drama and full of craziness! My main question before we even start is about the title of the episode, “The Package”. In a Sun-Jin-centric episode, I don’t quite get the connection. I mean, I know who the package is…but why name the whole episode that? Hmmmm….let’s start talking, ok?
Present Day. LA. Sun & Jin.
Our favorite couple is finally leaving the airport (sans a kabillion of Mr. Paik’s dollars) and on their way to the hotel. When they check in they ask for two rooms because SHOCKER they are not married. (Hmm…these flashsideways get me so confused. I feel like Juliet’s bomb made an impact on all of time, not just 1977.) Soon, Jin and Sun are talking about whether Jin should deliver the watch without the money to Mr. Paik’s…ahem…co-worker. And suddenly, what do you know, Sun and Jin do love each other! In fact, Sun…uhm…well, she de-robes. OK. SO. Now they are giggling over their tryst and Sun tells Jin the reason she came to LA with him was so they could run away together. She has been saving money in a secret account and they can be free of her father!

Last week (and in the previous hour) on Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution: Jamie came to Huntington, West Virgina and met with challenges and failures at every turn. A radio DJ full of attitude, uncooperative lunch ladies, delicious-looking chicken battling against pizza (and losing), and a newspaper article blasting Jamie’s project and taking his quotes out of context. He certainly has his work cut out for him.
Episode 2 opens with a visit back to the local radio station, where he’s explaining the newspaper article and defending himself. DJ Rod is civil, but admits that he still doesn’t like Jamie at all. If Jamie wins over DJ Rod, I’ll be delighted, because the guy is just a sourpuss.

Huntington, West Virginia, a city of 50,000 is officially the ‘unhealthiest city in America.’ That makes it the perfect target for Jamie Oliver, a young chef from England who succeeded in revolutionizing the school food system in that country. But will the city embrace Oliver’s attempt?

Jamie’s starts his conquest with an interview with local DJ Rod Willis. It didn’t quite go the way Jamie wanted it to as the DJ was being an obstinate jerk about Jamie’s effort to make a change.
Next up Jamie takes on a challenge to makeover the school’s food menu in a week. What he discovers is ‘Breakfast Pizza’ – not eggs on toast, but real pizza with cheese, pepperoni, and everything. I’m in disbelief as was Jamie.
