Walt Disney World Celebrity Photos

LaughingPlace.com has recently started a neat new feature. They’re featuring all press photos of celebrities who visit Walt Disney World. Seeing the pictures of the Hollywood Stars and Political movers and shakers who visited Disneyland was always one of my favorite things to do at the Disneyland Hotel. I wonder if those photos are still… Read More »Walt Disney World Celebrity Photos

The Passing of the Yellow Skivvy

An article in the New York Times looks at how The Wiggles and their fans are handling the transition from the original Yellow Wiggle, Greg Page, to his replacement, Sam Moran. The kids appear to be handling it pretty well, but… Mothers attending their concerts have been known to tell interviewers that they regard the… Read More »The Passing of the Yellow Skivvy

Behind the scenes at Apocalypto

Mel Gibson’s epic Apocalypto is due in movie theatres this Friday the 8th. It remains to be seen if crowds will materialize for this film based on Gibson’s past films, the odd nature of this film, and Gibson’s recent personal failings. I know I’d really like to see it on the big screen. But I… Read More »Behind the scenes at Apocalypto

Walt Disney, the search for perfection

The NY Times has another very readable review of Neal Gabler’s recent biography of Walt Disney. Gabler’s subtitle, “The Triumph of the American Imagination,” so broad and generically uplifting as to be meaningless; it could be the name for one of those World’s Fair-style corporate propaganda pavilions at Disney World’s Epcot, promising a Disney no… Read More »Walt Disney, the search for perfection

Disneyland Fireworks Webcam

I have no idea who owns or operates this webcam, but it claims to provide viewing of Disneyland’s fireworks show on nights when the show is offered. It would be nice if Disneyland and Walt Disney World would offer public webcams again.
