Children’s & Family Emmy Award Nominations
.

The Children’s & Family Emmy Awards nominations were just announced and The Walt Disney Company received a record-breaking 94 of them across its content brands and studios: Disney Branded Television, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney Television Studios’ 20th Television and ABC Signature, Hulu Originals, Lucasfilm Ltd., Marvel Animation, Marvel Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and Walt Disney Studios.

Breaking it down, Disney Branded Television received a record 74 Children’s & Family Emmy Awards nominations across Disney+, Disney Channel, and Disney Junior, which is also the highest number of any group recognized.

Disney’s streaming platforms, Disney+ and Hulu, earned 61 and two nominations, respectively, as well.

Worth noting, two of the shows nominated have recently been cancelled: “The Mysterious Benedict Society,” and “National Treasure: Edge of History.”

Finally, Disney swept two whole categories of nominations: Younger Performer in a Preschool, Children’s or Young Teen Program with Mykal-Michelle Harris (“Raven’s Home”), Marta Kessler(“The Mysterious Benedict Society”), Matilda Lawler (“The Santa Clauses”), and Rupali Redd (“The Santa Clauses”); and Main Title with “Kiff,” “Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur,” “The Mysterious Benedict Society,” “National Treasure: Edge of History,” “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures,” and “Superkitties.”

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences created the stand-alone Children’s & Family Emmy Awards competition and ceremony in 2022, and Disney also swept the inaugural awards with 86 nominations, winning 16 categories.

The Children’s & Family Emmy Awards ceremonies will be held December 16th at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles. No word if they will be broadcast or streamed for viewing, but we’ll bring you the results.
