This new version of the story is about a woman (Rosario Dawson) and her son (Chase W. Dillon) who enlist a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts (Owen WilsonDanny DeVito, LaKeith Stanfield and Tiffany Haddish) to help rid their New Orleans home of supernatural squatters.

The film features an all-star ensemble cast that also includes Dan Levy, Jamie Lee Curtis as Madame Leota, and Jared Leto as The Hatbox Ghost. It is directed by Justin Simien.
