Walt Disney World revealed new costumes for EPCOT cast members at the upcoming attraction, “Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana,” and it turns out they will also be used for “The Seas with Nemo & Friends.”

The Details

The shirts are a bright blue, like water, with a navy trim on the neckline and the sleeves.

And while they will be used by cast members at both “The Seas with Nemo & Friends” and the soon-to-be open “Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana,” there will be an easy and quick way to tell the two attraction cast member apart.

While working at “Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana,” cast members will simply roll up their sleeve trims one turn to reveal a Moana-inspired wave design. A button strap holds the rolled sleeve in place.

Disney says these new costumes are designed to be more comfortable, breathable and environmentally friendly than ever before.

About the Attraction

“Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana” is a walk-through attraction that will allow guests to explore and engage with water as it travels from our skies to our oceans and back again.

It is inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios 2016 animated movie “Moana,” and the title character’s fierce determination to protect her environment, especially with her strong bond with water throughout the story.

The attraction is scheduled to open at EPCOT in late 2023, by the monorail, in the new World Nature section of the park.

  1. This is just depressing, I assumed the only employees needed for this “attraction” would be janitors.
