Dah-link! You look fabulous, but you’ll look even more fabulous when Walt Disney World reopens Pixar Place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and “The Edna Mode Experience” returns.

The Details

“The Edna Mode Experience” will reopen May 14, 2023, along with Pixar Place, which has mostly been shuttered since the entrance of “Toy Story Midway Mania” was moved into Toy Story Land.

It will be here that the fabulous designer will meet her fans for glorious photo ops (pro-tip: you might want to leave the capes at home.).

Pre-pandemic, in 2018, Ms. Mode held court here when “The Incredibles 2” opened in theaters, and she originally took over the meet and greet area that was home to Woody and Buzz Lightyear from the Toy Story films,

I’m told as part of the reimagining, guests will also have the opportunity to also meet Mr. and Mrs. Incredible, along with Frozone in Pixar Place. These characters, along with Edna Mode, were reintroduced to Disney’s Hollywood Studios earlier this year.

Sulley from “Monsters, Inc.” will also be found in this area next month. He currently meets guests inside nearby “Walt Disney Presents,” but reportedly his last day in this space is April 29.

Future Plans for Pixar Place

Originally, “Toy Story Midway Mania” was a focal point for Pixar Place, but with its transition to Toy Story Land, the area has been underutilized.

Bringing back these character meet-and-greets is a big start to revitalizing the area, but what else could they do with the area? “Toy Story Midway Mania” still exists, just the entrance was moved, leaving not a lot of space for another ride.

Maybe a Pixar shorts theater? Maybe something to do with their upcoming film, “Elemental“? Would you be ok with it just hosting Pixar character meet-and-greets?

The studio has a deep catalog of characters to work with…who would you like to see in this area? Let us know in the comments.
