Fans from around the galaxy will gather at the ExCel Center in London, UK for Star Wars Celebration Europe, which will run April 7-10, but if you didn’t get a ticket, you’ll still be able to watch some of the weekend’s events.
The Convention
This massive fan event covers everything Star Wars, from celebrity guests appearances to exclusive merchandise…and if last year’s event in Anaheim, CA was any indication, there will be lots of big Star Wars news coming out of London this weekend.
Lucasfilm’s official live stream, Star Wars Celebration LIVE! will feature select panels, along with celebrity guests on the LIVE! stage, and much more to those watching online.
Disney hasn’t said which panels will be covered, but I hope some of the big ones like Friday’s “Lucasfilm Studio Showcase,” Saturday’s Ahsoka presentation, and Sunday’s “Disney Parks: Where Star Wars Comes to Life” showcase are all livestreamed.
How to Watch
If you can’t get to the Celebration, Disney and LucasFilm will bring some of the event to you via an online live stream.
Tune into Star Wars Celebration LIVE! on the StarWars.com homepage or YouTube.com/StarWars, starting at the following times each day:
- Friday, April 7: The stream starts around 12:30pm GMT, which for those in North America, equates to 8:30am EDT/7:30am CDT/6:30am MDT/5:30am PDT
- Saturday, April 8: Streaming starts around noon GMT, so for North America, 8am EDT/7am CDT/6am MDT/5am PDT
- Sunday and Monday, April 9-10: Streaming starts around 10:45am GMT, so some North American watchers will just have to pull an all nighter, as our times will be 6:45am EDT/5:45am CDT/4:45am MDT/3:45am PDT
And of course if you are in the London area, there are still limited tickets available for Friday and Monday at StarWarsCelebration.com.
