Earlier this month, the Critics Choice Association released the nominations for the TV categories of the 28th Annual Critics Choice Awards, and now they’ve released nominations for the films categories, which has netted Disney 23 nods.
Leading the pack for Disney is the Searchlight Pictures hit “The Banshees of Inisherin,” which has nine nominations, including “Best Picture” and “Best Director.”
Just released this weekend, “Avatar: The Way of Water” received six nominations overall including “Best Director” and “Best Picture,” as well.
Marvel’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” received six nominations, too, including a “Best Actress” nod for Angela Bassett.
Searchlight Pictures’ “Empire of Light” and “Turning Red” finish the list with one nomination a piece.
The 28th Annual Critics Choice Awards will take place on Sunday, January 15, at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, where both film and TV awards will be given out. The CW network will broadcast the event live.
