‘Making the Disney Wish: Disney’s Newest Cruise Ship’ Debuts Dec 24 on National Geographic Channel

Making the Disney Wish: Disney’s Newest Cruise Ship

National Geographic, in partnership with the Disney Cruise Line, will debut the documentary “Making the Disney Wish: Disney’s Newest Cruise Ship” on its channel on December 24, 2022.

About the Special

The Disney Wish, the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, took its inaugural sailing this summer, and now it will get a behind-the-scenes documentary on the National Geographic channel.

“Making the Disney Wish: Disney’s Newest Cruise Ship” shows the building of the ship at the Meyer-Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.

It starts with workers transforming 144,000 tons of steel into shape, continues through the interior design, and I’m told it will also include a bit of its first transatlantic sailing, as well.

Viewers will meet a cross section of people who worked on the ship, including construction workers, engineers, Imagineers, architects, animators, cast, and crew.

If you’re a fan of the Disney Cruise Line and the Disney Wish, this is one special you won’t want to miss.
