Disney Parks has told us the new BoardWalk Deli would be opening at Disney’s Boardwalk “late summer” but it appears the Walt Disney World website may have just revealed the exact date.
The Opening Date
When playing with the calendar on the BoardWalk Deli page, it appears Monday, August 15, lists hours for the deli as 7am to 10pm.
No dates before that have operating hours listed.
We’ll keep an eye out for changes, but otherwise I would say to expect it to be open for business as of the morning of August 15, 2022, which is only a week away.
About the Deli
The BoardWalk Deli replaces the BoardWalk Bakery at the resort’s BoardWalk, making it on the way for those walking to or from EPCOT. It’s also convenient to the boat transportation dock that has service to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Its quick-service menu is said to be inspired by delis in the Northeast U.S., featuring housemade breads and pastries, among other bakery goods.
During breakfast hours, there will be bagel sandwiches, and for lunch and dinner, a wide array of sandwiches including a stacked Reuben, and a choice of salads, too.
There are also plant-based sandwich options at all times of the day.
Prices for the meals appear to be reasonable, as well. Breakfast sandwiches run $10 or less, and lunch and dinner options run $13 or less.
It looks like all sandwiches and salads include choice of a side item: Tomato-Basil soup, Coleslaw, potato chips, and a house-made deli pickle.
According to the menu, the cole-slaw, pickle, and chips are plant-based options..
Its hours also make it a perfect stop for a quick breakfast prior to visiting a park, and it’s open late enough for an after park bite.
