Janet Jackson Visits Walt Disney World

Legendary icon Miss Janet Jackson paid a visit to Walt Disney World recently, and Disney photographers captured a moment with her.

Enjoying New Attractions

Miss Jackson was at Walt Disney World with her family, and during her EPCOT visit, had her photo taken with the Nova ship outside the entrance to the new “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” attraction.

Her Disney History

Janet has collaborated with Disney musically several times over the years.

Her song “Nasty” was heard in “Totally Minnie,” and she contributed the song “I Know the Truth” with Elton John to the Walt Disney Records concept album, “Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida.”

Her song “Runaway” was parodied by S. Khar Go as “Crawl Away” in the Bill Nye the Science Guy episode “Invertebrates, and a sample of her song “What Have You Done for Me Lately” was used in the song “Joyful, Joyful” for the 1993 Touchstone Pictures movie “Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit.”

She has also been mentioned in the Disney Channel “A.N.T. Farm” episode “influANTces,” with Chyna Parks dressing up as Jackson in the episode.

Most recently, she was a guest at this summer’s Essence Festival in New Orleans, which was sponsored by The Walt Disney Company.

Mickey’s “Rhythm Nation”

In celebration of Mickey Mouse’s 75th birthday in 2003, 75 different statues of Mickey were decorated in various pop culture ways.

One of the statues was dressed as Janet Jackson from her “Rhythm Nation” video:

However the statue ended up an unfair casualty of her SuperBowl XXXVIII “wardrobe malfunction,” and was removed in 2004. At the time, Disney explained they removed the statue due to the controversy.

In the end, it seems all has been forgiven by both parties, and it looks like Miss Jackson had a wonderful time at Walt Disney World this month:
