If you were waiting to get tickets to this year’s D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA, you’re too late…the annual Disney convention is now sold out.
The Expo
D23 Expo 2022 runs September 9-11, and will be full of Disney fun, from the theater to the parks, and everything in between.
Over the three days, D23 Expo 2022 will feature more than 50 shows, presentations, and panels, plus the Mousequerade costume contest, an exhibit called “Mickey Mouse One: Walt’s Plane” presented by Amazon, and exclusive merchandise from a variety of vendors.
The big presentations will take place in “Hall D23,” 6,900-seat venue located in Hall D of the Anaheim Convention Center. Sounds just like “Hall H” at this weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC22).
Disney will also be kicking off its big “Disney100” promotion at the Expo, celebrating 100 years of The Walt Disney Company as it enters its second century.
Watch Online
If you didn’t get tickets, D23 says select panels and presentations will be streamed via D23 Expo Live.
They haven’t announced which ones, but most likely it will be the big news panels.
Some of the ones I think will be live streamed are the presentation of upcoming theatrical and Disney+ titles from Disney Live Action, Pixar Animation Studios, and Walt Disney Animation Studios on Friday, and a similar presentation of Marvel and LucasFilm titles on Saturday.
Even though Marvel had some huge reveals at SDCC22, including the releasing the first trailer for “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” there’s still plenty of projects that didn’t get talked about.
These include Disney+ series like “Werewolf By Night,” and films like the sequel to “Shang-Chi,” and a rumored “Deadpool 3.”
Sunday’s presentation on the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Cruise Line by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro will probably also be streamed.
As soon as I hear details on which presentations, I’ll share that with you.
