The upcoming D23 Expo is shaping up to deliver a lot of Disney fun, and guests attending the event will get to try DisneyMe, an all-new digital avatar in the Play Disney Parks app.
What is DisneyMe?
DisneyMe will be a new avatar that guests can use to “express their Disney style” withing the Play Disney Parks app.
According to Disney, DisneyMe will officially launch as part of Disney Uncharted Adventure on the Disney Wish.
Disney Uncharted Adventure is an all-new interactive experience that uses guests’ mobile devices to unlock hidden adventures aboard the ship.
DisneyMe at D23 Expo
At D23 Expo 2022, guests will get first access to DisneyMe, and will be invited to participate in a quest that can only be completed at the event.
As they participate, attendees will uncover specially-designed Disney Wish and D23 Expo digital clothing and accessories for their avatar around the show floor.
D23 Expo guests wanting to play should download the latest Play Disney Parks app prior to the event to be ready to create their DisneyMe, and join the DisneyMe D23 Expo Quest during the convention.
About D23 Expo
D23 Expo 2022 will take place September 9-11, and has officially sold out.
Over the three days, D23 Expo 2022 will feature more than 50 shows, presentations, and panels, plus the Mousequerade costume contest, an exhibit called “Mickey Mouse One: Walt’s Plane” presented by Amazon, and exclusive merchandise from a variety of vendors.
Disney will also be kicking off its big “Disney100” promotion at the Expo, celebrating 100 years of The Walt Disney Company as it enters its second century.
Select presentations will be live streamed, most likely the film and television ones, along with the Disney Parks presentation. We’ll have more information on those closer to the event.
