Walt Disney World Reveals Revamped Victoria & Albert’s Restaurant Interiors

Victoria & Albert’s

Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa opens July 28, and today Walt Disney World has released photos of the revamped interiors.

I don’t know how they could improve on the restaurant, but this is seriously gorgeous.

The Colors

The color palette in the resturant has been updated to a brighter elegance.

Gone are the browns and beiges that made Victoria & Albert’s so austere and formal:

In are shades of grey and off-white accented by blue:

The Tiny Details

Some of the walls feature a raised same-tone flower pattern covering, creating an understated design touch to the room:

And other walls feature small dragonflies appearing to fly off the walls:

The Chandeliers

Several different types of chandeliers are used in the new design, from the grand crystal one hanging in the center of the main dining room, to one with metal flowers:

The Food

Upon reopening, guests in the main dining room can enjoy a choice of two Chef’s tasting menus, and you can read more about that in our previous story.

These dishes are created by the talented culinary team led by Chef de Cuisine Matthew Sowers, who has over 15 years of culinary experience at Victoria & Albert’s.

Joining him are Pastry Chef Kristine Farmer, Executive Chef Kevin Chong, and Culinary Director Chef Scott Hunnel.

Maître d’Hôtel Israel Pérez has also curated an award-winning wine list to enjoy with your meal, which features a diverse collection of over 500 wines from 35 regions.
