Earlier this Spring, Disneyland debuted the nighttime “Main Street Electrical Parade” and “Disneyland Forever,” but now the park has set an end date for both.

It’s Time to Say Good-Bye

Disneyland says both the 50th Anniversary edition of “Main Street Electrical Parade,” and “Disneyland Forever,” were both meant to be limited time.

As such, September 1, 2022, will be the last date for both guest favorites. It will also be the last chance to purchase collectibles like the Turtle Float sipper cup and the Elliott popcorn bucket.

Both the parade and show have occurred nightly this year at Disneyland park since April 22, 2022.

“Main Street Electrical Parade”

A guest favorite since its debut in 1972, the “Main Street Electrical Parade” features cherished floats such as the classic train and drum unit, and Elliot the Dragon.

To honor the milestone 50th anniversary of “Main Street Electrical Parade,” Disney Live Entertainment added a new grand finale featuring a seven-segment float that included more recent Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios films, like “Encanto” and “Coco.”

“Disneyland Forever”

“Disneyland Forever” fireworks spectacular is a street-to-sky celebration where Main Street, U.S.A., and a few other spots in Disneyland, become a magical canvas for projections of timeless Disney and Pixar stories.

The show also features two original songs: the theme “Live the Magic” and the inspiring closing song “Kiss Goodnight,” written by Disney Legend Richard B. Sherman.

What Comes Next?

Halloween at Disneyland kicks off on September 2, with several nighttime events like the separately-ticketed “Oogie Boogie Bash

The skies over Disneyland park will see the return of “Halloween Screams,” a projection and light show that will include fireworks on weekend nights.

Over at Disney California Adventure, nighttime shows “World of Color” and “Fantasmic” will still be closing out each night with light shows, fireworks, and more.
