‘Finding Nemo: The Big Blue … and Beyond!’ Sets Opening Date at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Finding Nemo: The Big Blue … and Beyond!

Walt Disney World has finally set an opening date for “Finding Nemo: The Big Blue … and Beyond!” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and it’s not too far off.

June 13 is when guests will once again be able to enjoy the show, which will be held several times daily in the Theater in the Wild, located in DinoLand U.S.A.

The musical show has been reimagined and revamped, and will now clock in at 25 minutes, instead of the previous 40 minutes the show ran pre-pandemic as “Finding Nemo – The Musical.”

The new version will also incorporate elements from “Finding Dory,” the sequel to “Finding Nemo.”

The story will begin at Marine Life Institute, as seen in “Finding Dory,” and it will now be told from the viewpoint of the fish in the tank at Dr. P. Sherman’s office.

The show will also feature many of the original production’s catchy songs, like “In the Big Blue World,” but with the shortened time of the new version of the show, it’s possible some songs won’t return.

Walt Disney World says that when “Finding Nemo: The Big Blue … and Beyond!” opens on June 13, it will be added to Genie+.

I’m excited that the show is returning so soon. It’s one of my favorite non-animal things to do at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, along with “Festival of the Lion King,” which is returning July 16, in case you haven’t heard.
