World travelers Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will be returning to Adventurers Outpost at Disney’s Animal Kingdom starting June 19, 2022.
The Outpost is located on Discovery Island and features a meet with the iconic Disney couple in their adventurer outfits.
Peruse exotic mementos they’ve collected on their trips around the world before stepping up to pose for a postcard-perfect picture with the pair.
Mickey and Minnie will be appearing from 8am to 6:30pm through the summer. Times may change in the fall, so check the Disney website and app before visiting.
A sign outside lists the wait time or check the My Disney Experience app.
Speaking of the the mobile app, those using Genie+ will be able to book a Lightning Lane to jump the line and bring Mickey and Minnie some cheese without the long standby wait.
This character meet-and-greet first opened on May 15, 2013.
The area was originally the Beastly Bazaar Shop, which opened with the park on April 22, 1998.
Hats, accessories, and souvenirs were sold at this location, but it was closed in August 2012 to make way for the Adventurers Outpost.
This is the first time the location will be open since the park’s pandemic closure in 2020.
Summer at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
The iconic duo’s Adventurers Outpost return is part a recent slate of reopenings in time for summer visits to the park.
“Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond!,” a revamped version of the original “Finding Nemo – The Musical,” recently opened on June 13.
Meanwhile “Festival Of the Lion King” will return to the park’s Harambe Theater on July 16.
