Are you excited for the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” ride at EPCOT? Well, we now have a first look at what will be the ride’s loading area.
Imagineer Zach Riddley uploaded images to his Instagram of the area where guests will get a chance to step aboard a Nova Corps ship and load into their Starjumper vehicles for the coaster ride.
In his post, Riddley commented “Our ride team has been hard at work testing this innovative ride system which we call an Omnicoaster. I have had the chance to experience myself, and I can tell you – this is truly unlike anything we’ve ever done!”
Here is the post:
Guests will arrive at the boarding area via the Xandar Gallery, where guests will discover more about the Xandarian people, culture and history, including the Guardians of the Galaxy members.
As you can see, Riddley states “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” will open Summer 2022, despite a mysterious, now-deleted Tweet by a Disney official that it would open Memorial Weekend.
Either way, as soon as we hear a definitive opening date, we will let you know.

This ride looks great however I just got back after an entire week visiting the Disney World parks and I am beyond aggravated along with probably every other guest. I’m also a DVC owner at the Riviera so we really are fans of Disney but this new Genie Plus system needs to be but back in the Genie bottle… many breakdowns of the system throughout the week cannot handle the volume they have people paying for rides and they’re barely getting on any because the time window pushes you beyond what the park and handle at this capacity. Additionally aggravating is the way they have still have park hopper system set up with his 2 o’clock and beyond start time which completely defeats the purpose of buying this type of a ticket.
