We’ve got good news and bad news for Walt Disney World guests hoping to enjoy the Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon Water Parks.
The good news is after a seasonal refurbishment, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park will reopen on January 6, 2019.
The bad news is that means it’s time for Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon to undergo seasonal refurbishment.
The last day of operation for Typhoon Lagoon will be January 5, 2019, with the water park officially closed for refurbishment from January 6 on. There is no set reopen date, but officials state it will be sometime in March 2019, barring any issues.
So while Typhoon Lagoon will be down for a bit, snowbirds and early spring breakers wanting water thrills can still enjoy Blizzard Beach.
