Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open next year at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World with the California version racing to the finishing first. This Christmas morning Disney released a new special preview of the 14-acre land that is sure to have Star Wars and Disney theme park fans lined up for hours to explore.
In Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge guests will be totally immersed in the Star Wars galaxy with the hopes that they end up playing along with the cast who inhabits the roles of people who live on or are visiting the Outer-Rim planet of Batuu.
Watch a new special behind-the-scenes sneak peek video of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge:
The two big attractions are Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
On Smugglers Run you’ll be part of a crew piloting the famous Millennium Falcon and your decisions will impact the success of failure of the mission. Later when you re-enter the outpost of Black Spire, you may encounter other smugglers who will know whether your mission was a success.
Get ready to fly into space for an encounter with the First Order on Rise of the Resistance. It promises to be the largest and most immersive Disney attraction ever. If you survive your mission you’ll return a hero of the resistance and will be celebrated throughout the land.
Never before have fans been able to walk on to a planet in the Star Wars galaxy and see, touch, smell, and hear everything it means to be in that world.
What are you looking forward to the most in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge?
