Disneyland 60th Anniversary Rose Parade Float Revealed

It’s the Diamond Celebration at Disneyland (which we know has been extended until Labor day weekend of 2016), traditionally Disneyland promoted itself to the world with a float or performance in the Rose Parade. In fact 2016 would have been the 77th year Disneyland has participated in Pasadena’s Tournament of Roses in some way, except they took a year off last year.

The park returns in a big way in 2016 with a huge new float that will celebrate the park’s 60 years and look forward to upcoming changes.

At the center of the float is a sparkling recreation of Sleeping Beauty Castle. In the front is the Ice Castle from Disney’s Frozen representing the Frozen stage show coming to Disney California Adventure. In the back a section represents the thrilling adventures of Star Wars Land, which will break ground in 2016.

The concept looks incredible, certainly worthy of the Rose Parade. You can travel to Pasadena to see it in person on New Year’s morning or just watch it on TV like the rest of us. Either way, don’t miss it.
