Grand Opening of The Boathouse Restaurant at Disney Springs

Schussler Creative Restaurant, The BOATHOUSE, in Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort

This week saw the Grand Opening of The Boathouse at Disney Springs. It promises to be one of the more unique dining opportunities at the complex. In addition to some top quality dining, there are Amphicar rides, water taxi cruises, A navy of floating art cars, uniquely themed interior decor from the team that brought you T-Rex and Rainforest Cafe, and seaside style Entertainment.

Here’s a video with a bit from the grand opening ceremony and interviews with Steven Schussler, Founder & CEO of Schussler Creative, and Theron Skees, Walt Disney Imagineering. Plus we get a look at the Amphicar in action:

As you can tell food options are upscale and focus on seafood and steaks. With multiple bar locations you can dine casual, on the patio, or in the dining room.

I hope to get a closer look at the location later this month and promise to report back with more details. In the meantime, reservations are recommended.

Hours are 11 a.m.-2 a.m. daily. For reservations, stop by The Ship’s Store (adjacent to The Boathouse) or call 407-939-BOAT (2628).
