Back when Big Thunder Mountain Railroad re-opened after its latest refurbishment, there was a lot of speculation about exactly what those nondescript boxes were in the queue. EPCOT’s Germany Features Fun Disney Themed Merchandise

One of the common complaints I hear about the parks concerns the lack of souvenirs that are specific to the attraction, show, or experience that gave you that magic feeling. So, I’m happy to announce that there has been some great progress made, at least if you’re in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion. In addition to the many gifts and goodies that you might find had you traveled to Germany, they’ve recently introduced a number of Disney themed items.

Emmy Award List, Modern Family Takes Home Four

MODERN FAMILY

A big night for Disney at the Primetime Emmy Awards tonight. Congratulations to the team at Disney Television who brought home 5 Emmy’s tonight. For the third year in a row, Modern Family on ABC was one of the big winners with four Emmys awarded. Tom Bergeron also got some gold for his role as host on Dancing With The Stars.

I didn’t watch much of the show tonight, but was a bit disappointed with Jimmy Kimmel’s lowkey hosting role. Many of the jokes fell flat tonight and the overall show just seemed a bit dull. What did you think?

Disney Magic Reaches Galveston, Texas for Inaugural Season

Disney Magic at Galveston

Today is a big day in the history of the Disney Cruise Line, the Disney Magic arrived in Galveston, Texas to kick off the Disney Cruise Line’s inaugural season sailing from the Port of Galveston. In 2012 and 2013, Disney Cruise Line will sail from Galveston on a variety of itineraries to the Caribbean and Bahamas, with some cruises taking guests to the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.

“We are excited to add even more variety to our offering of itineraries from the Port of Galveston,” Disney Cruise Line President Karl Holz said in a statement. “The addition of shorter getaway cruises and voyages that call on our most popular port of call, Disney’s Castaway Cay, rounds out an impressive array of itinerary options from Galveston.”

To salute the arrival of the Disney Magic to the Lone Star State, members of the Ghostriders equestrian drill team from Houston, galloped nearby as the ship sailed into port.
