Took my camera for a walk around Walt Disney World the last few weekends. Saw lots of good things and some bad things. Since this post is image heavy, I’ve put most of it below the cut. But I’ll start with this grainy but exciting photo.
Spaceship Earth has a new sponsor and is getting a new story and some new scenes. It’s also going to see some changes to the attraction vehicles including video screens so passengers can interact with the attraction. This is probably just a mock-up. But it was just sitting in plain view near the attraction exit. So I snapped a picture. Looks like each seat gets a monitor, a pretty decent sized screen too.

According to AceShowBiz Disney has acquired the rights to the hot children’s book of the summer, and they already have Scott Rudin in place to produce it.
Starz Cable Channels currently owns the television right of first broadcast to Disney’s movie releases. It’s no secret that Disney has a big hit on their hands with Hannah Montana. Not only is there Miley Cyrus with her platinum albaums as Hannah Montana and as her self, but there are other stars who are nearly as popular. Take co-star Emily Osment for instance, announce an autograph session will be held at the local mall and thousands of adoring fans and their families will show up. Sometimes things get out of control.
This story in the Times-Tribune just hints at the horror described in a story submitted to me earlier today. If you were at the Steamtown Mall located in Scranton Pennsylvania, I’d love to hear if your version of the events match this womans.
