Who is Tony Stark? Who is Iron Man? Those questions are given a lot of attention in the third film in the Iron Man trilogy. Taking place after the world changing events of The Avengers, Iron Man 3 is really a sequel to that film, and yet, it seems to exist in a universe entirely separate from it. None of the characters from The Avengers appear in Iron Man 3. There is no S.H.E.I.L.D., no of Thunder, no sign that The Avengers ever happened, except, Tony Stark’s struggle to overcome some perfectly understandable anxiety after having pushed himself to his limits to save the world and almost failed. With the third movie in the Iron Man series up for release at midnight tonight, a new exhibit has cropped up in Disneyland. Iron Man Tech Presented by Stark Industries is located on the top floor of Innoventions, a small low capacity building in the back of Tomorrowland but fitting nonetheless. After doing a round about of the top floor to reduce traffic flow problems, you’ll be greeted by the sight of what the over head speakers is dubbing the Mark XLII, or Mark 42 of the Iron Man suit. Red and shiny it stands on a recreation of Tony Stark’s circular pedestal that fans of the series will recognize as the location where he preforms many a suit up in his Malibu Beachside home. Check out this first trailer for Thor: The Dark World, aka Thor 2. There’s a lot riding on this film for Disney and Marvel. We’ve seen that Iron Man and the Avengers can draw wild box office numbers, while the first Thor was just successful. If this film can carry the momentum Marvel has built up over the last year or so, then I think it has a pretty good chance.
