This week’s episode of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD begins with a series of citywide blackouts in Miami (where Elena aka Yo-Yo is), London and L.A. (where Daisy and Robbie are). Director Mace sends Mack, Fitz and Coulson to Miami to investigate because a group of… Read More »Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD recap – Season 4, Episode 3 – The Uprising
Last week, we discovered that Rosalind Price is working with Malick who, in turn, is working for Hydra. Does she know that she’s working for Hydra? I don’t think our agents will care either way when they find out, which will probably be in this… Read More »Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S3E8 preview – Many Heads, One Tale
This week we went back to the events of Captain America: Winter Soldier to see what Bobbi, Mack and their team were doing the day that S.H.I.E.L.D. fell. They, along with Agent Hartley, are on the air craft carrier, Iliad, in search of Gonzales. It was nice to see Lucy Lawless again. I’m glad they brought her back.
After finding him (and convincing him that they aren’t Hydra), Bobbi reveals that she was given a second mission from Fury (like Natasha in Winter Soldier). She’s been tasked with sinking the ship, destroying the cargo in the process. Realizing that this is a one-way mission, Mack and the rest of the team decide to join her before ultimately deciding to take back the ship instead of destroying it.
Back in the present, Coulson finally lets Mack take a look under Lola’s hood, but for the purpose of confronting him because Coulson suspects him to be a mole. Through the conversation, Coulson figures out that Bobbi is a mole as well. This revelation leads to a fantastic fight scene between May and Bobbi over Fury’s Toolbox.
In the midst of Marvel’s huge news on Tuesday, let’s not forget that we also got our weekly dose of Coulson and his team.
This week, a group of men claiming to be S.H.I.E.L.D. crash a U.N. meeting, killing some of the dignitaries and security guards with new versions of the diviner weapon. Because the attackers claimed to be S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, the U.S. government has to step in, including Senator Christian Ward, brother of Grant Ward.
Senator Ward wants nothing more than to see the remaining remnant of S.H.I.E.L.D. be disbanded permanently and will stop at nothing to see it done. Coulson arranges a meeting with the Senator and makes a deal with him. He will turn the Senator’s brother over in exchange for not bringing down S.H.I.E.L.D. Skye goes down to the basement to tell Ward the news, but gets him to tell her everything he knows about her father first.
In the meantime, Agents May, Hunter and Morse are sent out to find the men responsible for the attack on the U.N. and the new diviner weapon. Watching Hunter and Morse bicker was almost as fun as watching May and Morse take down the bad guys.
The episode also deals with the reunion of Fitz-Simmons and the realization that Fitz gets worse around Simmons. I am really impressed with Iain De Caestecker’s portyal of Fitz. He continues to be the heart of the show for me.
When we left the team before the hiatus Coulson had been captured and we don’t know what happened to Mike in the explosion. The official synopsis is: “’The Magical Place’ will have Coulson uncovering some very important details surrounding the mystery of his death. Centipede… Read More »Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode 11 preview – The Magical Place
