The most successful animated box office of all time belongs to Pixar’s Toy Story 3. Disney has just released the details for three ways to enjoy the movie that’s coming out on DVD November 2, 2010. Although many questioned Pixar’s return to the Toy Story universe, this film was the perfect end to the trilogy that has defined a generation, and their children.

After a long hiatus in the 80s, Beauty and the Beast was the movie that really brought me back into the love of Disney Animation. It’s hard to believe it was 19 years ago when it first hit theaters. Now, not only is it being released from the Disney Vault on to DVD, but it’s being prepped for a 3D version. To celebrate, Fathom Events and Disney have organized a Sing-Along Movie cinema event showcasing the restored movie and providing a behind-the-scenes look at the restoration process.
This event is for two days only – Wednesday September 29 at 6:30pm and Saturday October 2 at 12pm local time.

You may have heard that the Walt Disney Company is working on a 3D version of their popular Beauty & The Beast animated feature, but you may not have realized that it’s been 7 years since the DVD version of that movie was put in the vault. Now, Disney is preparing to release a ‘Diamond Edition’ on Blu-ray and DVD just in time for Christmas shopping this year.
I’m not sure this is the best move if they want to build excitement for the 3D version when it hits theaters. But I am looking forward another generation getting a chance to see one of my favorites of the modern tales for the first time.
Correction: This DVD is still scheduled for release on Oct 5th. Nov 10th is the UK release date.
