Well, I am getting a much later start on this then I had planned. I got caught up in the novel I was reading and just had to finish it. How people ever survived in the days before they could record TV somehow is beyond me.
So this week promises more dancing and another injury to deal with. (Is it just me, or are those becoming more frequent with each passing season?) Shall we get to it? Besides, we get the Viennese Waltz and Jive tonight. And you know how much I love me some Jive.Read More »Dancing with the Stars: Jive, Viennese Waltz, & Injury
Tonight promises to be another extra-special episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Yeah, they’re all extra-special, but that’s one of the great parts of the show. Fans of Ty Pennington and the crew will find this article in the NY Times good reading. It goes… Read More »Extreme Makeover: Home Edition – Behind the Scenes
Life on Mars debuts on October 9th. Check out this terrific 2-minute sneak peak from the first episode. You’ll see why the decision to move the show to New York City was so crucial to the gravitas of the story.
I have nothing witty or insightful to say, so shall we get to the results?
As John mentioned, last week I was out of town. In fact, I spent all last week at DisneyWorld. It was my first trip there. I am exhausted, but it was completely worth it.
But now it’s back to the real world, and part of that means getting to recap/share my thoughts on Dancing with the Stars with you. I did get to watch part of last week. (My stupid DVR decided not to record Tuesday for whatever reason. And that was a Quickstep night, one of my favorites!) So I have a little idea what happened then.
I do want to comment on the over exposed memo that has been floating around. (I’ve seen it several places today.) Every season when the show starts, they take up the majority of a week. The last two seasons have started with one round of dancing Monday, a continuation of that round of dancing Tuesday, and results on Wednesday. The only reason people are harping on it this time is because of Ted McGinley. And seriously, if you are going to announce that any show he is in is on the way out automatically, then I can’t take you seriously either. (Not that I am too familiar with his work. But still.)
So, on to this week’s performances. (And remember, I am still on East Coast time even though I am back in California. I’m just saying.)Read More »Dancing with the Stars: Rumba and Paso
Disney devoted 5 hours of primetime tv to its Dancing With The Stars franchise this week. The end result was to kick the two male comedians (Ted McGinley and Jeffrey Ross) off the bloated roster. Perhaps they could have done that and risked not over-exposing… Read More »Dancing with the Stars, was 5 hours too much?
Don’t believe everything you read on the internet equivilant of those supermarket tabloid rags. Miley Cyrus and her dad are perfectly happy serving out the end of their sentence on Disney’s Hannah Montana. Sure, she could make more money in film or music. But what… Read More »I still Heart Mickey says Miley Cyrus
