Reuters confirms that ‘The Incredibles’  director Brad Bird has been given the helm of Pixar’s ‘Ratatouille’, the next film to follow ‘Cars’. Reuters also notes that Disney CFO Tom Staggs said at the Annual Meeting that they expect the Pixar / Disney deal to close by the end of April. That’s about three months sooner… Read More »Pixar news…

Video of The Week

  • by

The Video of the Week is a cute little promotional video the Muppets did back a few years ago. It’s a funny take on other muppets screen tests for the part of Yoda in the next Star Wars film. YouTube is a blast for finding these sorts of things.

Pop Food at Pop Century

  • by

SlashFood, one of my favorite foodie reads, has a look at some of the ‘pop’ foods at Disney World’s Pop Century food court. Pop Century is located just off the I-4, so you don’t have to be staying there to enjoy these offerings. I like the cheesecake, but I can’t resist ordering the Sloppy Joe… Read More »Pop Food at Pop Century

Stock Holder Meeting Roundup

The annual stock holder meeting was held on Friday at The Pond in Anaheim this year. The whimsical whiz behind Pixar, the premier maker of computer-animated family films, greets his guest with outstretched arms and… Read More »John Lasseter

New Trailer for Cars released

  • by

A new trailer for ‘Cars’ has been released. For now it’s exclusively on AOL (boo!). However, it is very similar to the Japan trailer I linked to earlier. (But in English, obviously.) Lots of people have been commenting on how photo-realistic some of the backgrounds look, but what interests me is the automotive motifs that… Read More »New Trailer for Cars released

Voice on High School Musical

  • by

The Village Voice looks at Disney’s smash hit musical "High School Musical" (still #4 at Amazon) and says (paraphrasing), ‘hey so it isn’t RENT or West Side Story, at least kids are genuinely interested in the musical genre again. So it’s a good thing right?’ What do you think? Have you see it yet? [… Read More »Voice on High School Musical

Give Kids The World – 20th Anniversary Coverage

  • by

The Osceola News Gazette has a wonderful write up on the event including the fact that a major expansion is underway at the village so they can house all the families at the village instead of having to put some up in hotels during high capacity months. Channel 13 continues their coverage as well. I… Read More »Give Kids The World – 20th Anniversary Coverage
