Mother’s Day

From treats to feasts, here are the Mother’s Day delights you’ll want to check out:

AAPI Heritage Month

Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with these dishes inspired by Asian American and Pacific Islander flavors available through May 31st:

Chicken Guy

Guy Fieri’s restaurant has three limited items to try:

  • Bacon Jalapeño Popper Sandwich (buttermilk ranch, jalapeno cream cheese, smoked bacon, jalapenos & pepper jack cheese) $9.99
  • Berry Bomb Shake (hand-spun vanilla soft serve, mixed berry puree, topped with fresh whipped cream & Cinnamon Toast Crumble) $6.99
  • Jalapeno Ranch Sauce $.50

The eatery is also currently constructing a new covered patio outside to provide more shaded seating, and construction is expected to take about three months.


D-Luxe Burger

The new Southern Burger features two-pressed signature-blend beef patties, pimento cheese, fried green tomato, bacon, and jalapeño jam on a cheddar-chive biscuit ($13.99).

Enzo’s Hideaway

This speakeasy Italian restaurant is hosting a Bootlegger’s Dinner, featuring Brugal rum pairings on May 16th and 22nd at 7pm each night.

Start your evening with a tropical Brugal 1888 cocktail, alongside their coconut shrimp arancini. Next, dive into the complex depths of a Brugal Colección Visionaria, served with paccheri al ragù cinghiale. Complete the journey with a luxurious Brugal 1888 dessert drink to accompany their decadent affogato.

Cost is $75 (+ tax/gratuity). Add a 1 oz. pour of Brugal Maestro Reserva for $25. Must be 21+ to attend. Visit the event’s ticket page to purchase.


Gideon’s Bakehouse

Gideon’s Bakehouse is a must-stop for a Disney Springs foodie, and here are the limited items to enjoy this month:

Peanut Butter Cold Brew Cookie – It is a thick, almost half pound Peanut Butter Cookie laced with Freshly Ground Espresso and fully covered in chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Reese’s Pieces. Available every day of May. Limit two per person.⁣

Peanut Butter Cold Brew Cake – It’s a Double Frosted Cake that covers three layers of super soft Chocolate Cake with a full layer of addicting Peanut Butter Buttercream and Mocha Espresso Buttercream. Then it’s decoraated with some Reeses Pieces and PB Cups. Slices available every Wednesday and Saturday this month. Limit 2 slices per person.⁣

Banana Nitro Cold Brew: This Cold Brew is made from locally roasted Lineage bean and real food, not store-bought syrups. This magical elixir is created from 100% real bananas, and has been so popular Gideon’s is holding it over another month.

PLUS, Gideon’s Bakehouse is participating in Disney Park’s “Halfway to Halloween” with these special treats available May 6-8, 2024:

  • Mephistophelittle’s Hand Pie: Is this the biggest dessert ever to come from Gideon’s? Enjoy this flaky pastry completely packed with chocolate chip cookie dough and lined with dulce de leche! (Limit two per person) 
  • The Frankenstein Cookie: Just for Halfway to Halloween, this October favorite is brought back to life! Made from pieces of all the candies you want in your treat bag, you’ll find M&M’s, crushed Oreo Double Stuff, and chocolate chips in every bite! (Limit two per person)

Morimoto Asia

The restaurant is evamping their offerings with new signature pan-Asian cuisine options for weekday lunch, available 11:30am – 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Reservations are recommended and can be made at MorimotoAsia.com.

  • Katsudon – Panko breaded pork skirt, dashi soy, organic egg, scallions and pickled ginger on top of house-polished white rice. ($21)
  • Poke Bowl – Tuna, salmon, hamachi marinated in soy, sesame, crunchy garlic chili over sushi rice. ($24)
  • Asian Salad – Mesclun and baby iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, tomato, red onion, orange segment, apple, wonton chips and ginger dressing. ($15)
  • Options to add protein: chicken for ($9), oishii shrimp for ($10), bulgogi beef for ($10), calamari for ($9), or fried tofu for ($5).

Morimoto Asia is also hosting its annual luau on May 19th, in partnership with Suntory, featuring all the food, drinks, and festivities of a traditional Hawaiian party.⁣

Tickets are $115++ per adult and $55++ per child (9 and under), or $500 for a booth (max four guests). There are two seatings: 11:30am to 1:30pm and 2pm to 4pm. For more details or to purchase tickets, visit MorimotoAsia.com.


Morimoto Asia Street Food

This fast casual dining area, on the outside of the main restaurant, has added four new items to its menu:

  • Teriyaki Salmon Onigiri (Japanese Rice Ball): Teriyaki-glazed salmon, house-polished short-grain rice, and rice.
  • Taiwanese-style Fried Chicken “Gee Pie”: Five-spice marinated chicken with a choice of curry spice or Beijing spice.
  • Korean Corn Dog: Beef hotdog, mozzarella cheese, Panko bread crumbs, Sriracha ketchup and honey mustard.
  • Bulgogi Kimchi Ramen: Thin-sliced sweet soy-marinated beef, aromatics duck broth, house-pickled kimchi, gochujang sauce, scallion and soy-marinated egg.

Open daily from 12-8 p.m., the menu is available for takeout or to enjoy on the adjacent covered patio seating.

Salt & Straw

The limited ice cream flavors for May 2024 at Salt & Straw are part of the “The May Flowers” series.

  • Jasmine Milk Tea& Chocolate Almond Stracciatella: This flavor infuses fine Red Blossom Tea Company jasmine tea in cream and sugar and lace the ice cream with slivers of almonds coated in chocolate.
  • Lemon Mari Gold Amaro Sherbet: Straightaway Cocktail’s Mari Gold amaro (an herb-infused liquor) is combined with pieces of homemade, light, fluffy lemon marshmallows to make this sherbet.
  • Pistachio w/ Saffron & Rose Water: A classic pistachio ice cream lends a creamy foundation to show off house-baked saffron-laced mochi cake lovingly glazed in a perfectly balanced rosewater frosting. Made with Diaspora Co. Spices.
  • Rhubarb Crumble w/ Toasted Anise: First of the season rhubarb is baked with a splash of orange juice and a family-secret blend of spices, then topped with caramelized anise crumble, and folded into vanilla ice cream.

Sprinkles

The bakery is offering several limited cupcake flavors throughout May 2024 for the Disney Springs foodie. Here are some of the flavors:

  • May 6-19: Strawberry Shortcake Bar – This cupcake pays homage to the classic strawberry shortcake Good Humor® ice cream bar we all know and love. Our vanilla cake filled with strawberry jam topped with strawberry buttercream frosting and scratch made strawberry shortcake crumble.
  • May 13-26: Vietnamese Coffee – A Vietnamese coffee cake made with Nguyen Coffee Supply Loyalty Coffee, filled with a condensed milk buttercream, and finished with coffee frosting.
  • May 20-June 6: Lemon Meringue – Enjoy this graham cracker lined fragrant lemon cake filled with lemon curd and topped with toasted marshmallow.
  • May 23-27: Stars and Sprinkles Red Velvet – Classic Red Velvet featuring southern style light chocolate cake topped with cream cheese frosting and celebratory red, white, and blue Fancy Sprinkles.
