Disney has released a first look at “Smellephants on Parade,” a new family-friendly “search and sniff” interactive experience that is coming to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
The Details
First announced in July 2023, “Smellephants on Parade,” is sponsored by Scentsy, the Official Home Fragrance of Walt Disney World, and is an interactive smelling experience located in Storybook Circus.
As guests enter the area, they will stumble upon a casting call posted by Timothy Q. Mouse, seeking out a “Whiff-sistant” to join Dumbo’s newest act.
At the ticket booth in front of Big Top Souvenirs, a cast member will provide guests with an illustrated map of the land, and a sticker sheet to guide them in their first task as a Whiff-sistant.
From there, guests need to find all eight Smellephant statues scattered around Storybook Circus, using the stickers and map to track their progress.
The first of these “Smellephants” have just been installed, and is hiding in plain sight disguised as a favorite snack: popcorn.
Other circus-themed “Smellephants” will feature other fragrances provided by Scentsy, like Churro, Cotton Candy, and more. Hope they have a snack stand nearby, because these smells are going to make people hungry.
This complimentary experience will be available to guests of all ages starting in May 2024, according to Disney.
